About Us
Organic Fruit Tree And Herb is a nursery located at 663 S Record Ave in Los Angeles, California. We grow and sell organically raised fruit trees, herb plants, scionwood cuttings for grafting, and seeds, and we ship throughout the contiguous 48 United States.
Our Story
The nursery was started by Yosef, a grower and grafter based in Los Angeles with years of hands-on experience in fruit tree cultivation. The nursery grew out of a personal interest in growing and grafting fruit trees. Over time, the range of available varieties expanded through grafting, and the nursery began shipping plants to home gardeners across the country. We operate from our East Los Angeles location, where we grow, graft, and prepare plants for shipment.
What We Grow
Our nursery focuses on three main categories:
- Fruit Trees — Including mango, persimmon, pomegranate, loquat, fig, plum, mulberry, and guava varieties. Available as live potted plants or bare root seedlings.
- Herbs — Organically grown herb plants including chocolate mint, apple mint, epazote, and other culinary varieties.
- Scionwood Cuttings — Fresh cuttings from our own trees, prepared and packaged to maintain viability during shipping.
- Seeds — Non-GMO, open-pollinated seeds including papalo and Mexican cilantro.
All plants are grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers.
Our Approach
Every plant is inspected before shipment. We select shipping methods that prioritize transit speed, and during extreme weather we may delay shipments or add protective packaging. Care instructions are included with each order. For scionwood cuttings, grafting instructions are included.
